Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, the pop-punk duo Daisy Grenade, stuns their audience with their latest release Liquor and Kerosene, featuring John O’Callaghan from The Maine. Released on February 9, the single opens with the powerful first verse and chorus with singers Keaton Whittaker and Dani Nigro. The second verse sends chills down your spine with strong vocals from guest O’Callaghan. The team then sings together for the rest of the song, with an intense chorus, “Liquor and kerosene, we’re kinda embarrassing / falling to pieces in California…” This single follows the release of Daisy Grenade’s cover of King for a Day, originally by popular alternative band Pierce The Veil.

Daisy Grenade is about to embark on tour with Fall Out Boy, along with Jimmy Eat World, The Maine, and Hot Mulligan. The duo will be featured on this tour from February 28 through March 13. They first teased Liquor and Kerosene on their Instagram back in January, with a video from a previous show of Keaton and Dani singing the song on stage. The video also had lyrics appear on screen. This was to get their audience ready for new music. The post following the video was an audio clip of the song to tease the surprise feature. It included a photo of the lyrics, as well as a photo asking the fans to guess the guest vocalist. At the end of January, the group had officially announced who sang with them on the song. John O’Callaghan, the vocalist of The Maine, was to feature. The announcement post included a video of the three singers performing the chorus, and going into John’s verse. The video was filmed while on The Maine’s Sweet Sixteen Tour with Daisy Grenade.

Daisy Grenade captured intense emotion with beautiful vocals and very pop-punk instrumentals on Liquor and Kerosene. Having John O’Callaghan on this track makes it even more exciting and opens the door to exploring more styles of music! We are very excited to see what the next song is like for them!
