Singer-songwriter Matt Walden brings the listener of his new album along on a story of heartbreak, loss, and rediscovering yourself. This Album is About Heartbreak follows Walden’s experience of ending a long-term relationship, taking all of the blame for the situation, finding oneself in a dark place, and learning that despite it all, he will be okay eventually.

Following his 2021 album, The Light Between the Trees, the artist's newest album This Album is About Heartbreak, showcases his extreme vocal and musical talents as well as his ability to tell a raw and emotional story through music. With seven songs on the newest record, Walden has created the heartbreak album of the year; with at least one song, everyone can find a part of themselves in the album.

The release features his most recent single, Maybe I’m the Problem, a song about blaming yourself for the end of a relationship and taking all the pain that came with the breakup with you. As the first song on the album, the single acts as an opener to the artist's growth throughout the record, eventually ending with the last song on the album, Puttin’ Up a Fight. With a chorus featuring lines such as “I’m gonna be alright. I keep puttin' up a fight like. I’m gonna be just fine” and a more upbeat pace than the rest of the album, the song acts as a perfect sign that Walden has found hope within his struggles.

With over 14 million streams and 10,000 followers on Spotify, Matt had found a committed and loyal fanbase.

Walden has built a community online through Twitch streams, Discord, Patreon, and other social media sites that have allowed him to interact with fans across the world.
