On Monday, February 5th, Meet Me @ The Altar rocked the house at The Marquis in Denver. The three-piece band was joined by Honey Revenge, John Harvie, and Elliot Lee.
The show opened with Elliot Lee's eclectic pop sounds. They brought a fun and bouncy energy to the stage. One of the crowd’s favorite songs was Funny Bunny, which has elements of electronic dance music.
The show continued with John Harvie's energetic pop-punk sound. The crowd bounced as he sang along to his song " Bleach " (On The Rocks). He did an incredible job of hyping up the crowd before the final opener.
Los Angeles sensation Honey Revenge kept the night rolling with their upbeat pop-punk sound. The duo was accompanied by their touring bassist and drummer, who effortlessly held up the rhythm section. With melodic vocals and a funky bass line, the band hyped up the crowd with their tune Habitual and a call for crowd surfers. When the call sounded, around 5-10 people went up in the air. They wrapped up their set with their catchy tune Airhead and got the room ready for the headliner.
It was finally time for Meet Me @ The Altar to take the stage, and the crowd was very excited to see their faves. They opened their set with their smash-hit Same Language from their debut album. Past// Present// Future.
Hailing from the East Coast, singer Edith, guitarist Téa, and drummer Ada are natural-born performers with the way they can quickly get the crowd dancing. The band continued with some of their older songs from some of their earlier EPs, like Now or Never and Beyond my Control. As they played their song Hit Like a Girl, Edith called for an all-girl mosh pit. Soon after, the group played covers by Kelly Clarkson, the Jonas Brothers, and a song from the 2003 Disney movie Freaky Friday as an homage to their start posting covers on YouTube. They finished their set with their song Say It (To My Face), the title track for their tour.
Overall, it was a fantastic show and a Monday night well spent! All of the musicians on this tour did an incredible job of keeping the crowd engaged, excited, and entertained. If you can see this tour on the remaining dates, do it!
