On Saturday, January 20th, Ozonic headlined the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs with opening acts Get The Axe and Osero.
Starting the show with a hybrid of rock and jazz music, Osera welcomed crowds with an eclectic mix of guitar, vocals, and trumpet. Osero features a unique musical style that brings the audience in and has them dancing throughout the band's set. The band had the opportunity to perform songs from their EP Moonlight Mary, which was released in December of 2023.
Following Osero was Get The Axe, a Colorado Springs-based metal band. The group had an incredible stage presence, connecting with the audience and bringing smiles to everyone's faces with the jokes they made and the incredible music they played. The lead singer had a vast vocal range, and there was an amazing use of instruments throughout the band.
Finally, the audience was able to welcome Ozonic to the stage as they performed their first headline show of 2024. Playing songs from across their discography, Ozonic showcased their passion for performing live and covering a variety of topics in their art. As lead singer Colin Bovberg put it, “We sing songs about weather and feelings and aliens and sh*t”
A highlight of the night was the moment when the circus music began, and Bovberg put on the hat of the ringmaster. The band welcomes the audience into the world of their newest single, Cirque. With booming vocals, vibrant lighting, and backing instrumentals, Cirque opened Ozonic to a whole new level of musical and brand creativity.
Not only is Ozonic an incredibly talented group, they are some of the kindest individuals. They greeted friends and fans after the show, and connected with the audience and staff.
